How a Tombstone ghost tour works

  1. 1

    Pick your night

Ghost tours run after dark and the good ones sell out on weekends. Check the widget above for what is actually running while you are in Tombstone.

  2. 2

    Book with free cancellation

Most of these can be cancelled up to 24 hours before, so booking early costs nothing and holding out costs you the good guide.

  3. 3

    Turn up where they say

This one meets at Meet near the corner of 6th Street and E Allen St. between the Birdcage Theater and T. Miller’s. Please arrive at the meeting location at least 15 minutes before your tour's start time. Your guide will be wearing a black US Ghost Adventures t-shirt and carrying a lantern.

  4. 4

    Wear the right shoes

You will be walking on old, uneven, badly lit ground for an hour or more. It is the advice every operator gives and most visitors ignore.

Thirty seconds in 1881

A silver town that stopped

The most famous name in the American West, and almost nothing bookable.

The fame and the field do not match

Tombstone is one of the best-known names in American history and has one of the thinnest bookable ghost-tour benches on this site. The town's tourism runs largely on walk-up and independent operators rather than the booking platforms, so what you can reserve in advance is a fraction of what is actually offered.

1881 and after

The gunfight took thirty seconds in October 1881 and the town's silver mines flooded within a few years. What survives is a preserved main street and the Boothill graveyard, which is the material most tours work with.

Book what you can, expect to find more there

Given how little is reservable, this is one place where arriving and asking is a reasonable plan - which is the opposite of the advice on most of this site.

What a night here actually costs

Tombstone's one bookable tour starts at $24, against a national ghost-tour median of $30 measured across 208 products. That entry price sits below the category 25th percentile of $25, which makes it genuinely cheap for a ghost tour rather than simply cheap. The distinction matters: a low price in a thin market usually means one operator with nobody to compete against, not a bargain. With a single bookable product there is no comparison to make, and the review depth on the card is the only signal worth reading. Treat a thin sample as unproven rather than poor. ★★★★★
excellent tour of Tombstone. Brandon, or Brimstone, knew so much about the town and delivered the tour in an engaging way that was fun and factual. not only did we learn about the ghosts and paranormal but about the history of Tombstone. we did this when we first arrived and it gave us a good background for our visit to Tombstone. you should do this tour, thoroughly recommend

Brandon was a great guide- very engaging and told the stories well. I appreciated that he gave history about the town in addition to telling the ghost stories, as it helped tie everything together. He made everyone feel comfortable and answered questions as they came up. I enjoyed this walking tour even more than I thought I would. Handling the EMF detectors that Brandon brought was an added bonus. First time I’d ever seen one in person and seeing it go off periodically throughout the tour when we were in especially charged locations was amazing!

Ethan was phenomenal! He was very informative and knew so much about the history. He took time to allow us to take pictures and made the event very family friendly. In fact, Ethan is one of the best guides we’ve ever had the privilege of knowing.

Excellent info about the town’s history with knowledgeable guide. 4 stars because my expectation was to visit interiors but we only observed the outside of buildings. Bill our guide was excellent.
